Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience of sewing but are looking to develop your skills, this course is perfect for you. Heather, our talented sewing expert, will guide you through the wonderful world of sewing and you'll gain confidence in a variety of sewing projects. Don't miss this opportunity to unleash your creativity and connect with fellow sewing enthusiasts.

6 week sewing course - The sessions are every Thursday 6pm -9pm, commencing on 7th November (other dates are 14th Nov, 21st Nov, 28th Nov, 5th Dec, 12th Dec) . All courses are run in the beautiful craft room at The Cowshed in Rubra 2, Mulberry Business Park, Fishponds Road, Wokingham. Plenty of Parking available.

Projects can vary depending on skill level but may include learning:

To use a sewing machine / Using the correct bobbin and tools (including sewing machine maintenance).

Create a stitch directory

Depending on skill level - options to choose a project which may include some from the following: bunting, a fabric bowl, coasters and table runner, tote bag with appliqué decoration, zipped bag, cushion cover.

The use of our sewing machines, along with fabric and thread from our donated collection are included. Some projects may include such items as wadding, binding and zips which you will need to provide, your tutor will advise.

The courses will continue throughout the year, allowing you the opportunity to continue your sewing journey if you choose to.
