About the instructor:
Suzy Wurtz, the face behind Mountain Laurel Sewing Company, has been sewing since she first snuck into her mom’s sewing room at the age of 9. In 2012, and many broken needles later, she graduated from Penn Foster’s Dressmaking and Design School, ran a home sewing business, and worked for local machine shop. Suzy’s experience includes garment design and construction, pattern design, alterations, sewing lessons, and sewing machine workshops. Suzy lives in Ephrata with her two teenagers and one cat. When she isn’t sewing, she can be found enjoying the outdoors, gardening, playing music, and making art.
