About this Event

A bojagi or pojagi is a traditional Korean wrapping cloth. Bojagi are typically square and can be made from a variety of materials, though silk or ramie are common. Embroidered bojagi are known as subo, while patchwork or scrap bojagi are known as jogakbo. (Wiki)

In this workshop you will learn how to make a simple version 'bojagi' or 'jogak' style wall patchwork hanging or curtain reusing linen offcuts and sheer samples salvaged from the interior design industry for reuse.

You will choose your own colourway of fabrics and learn how to do the simple flat seam that is required to make these beautiful sheer wall hangings.

This is an all-day event limited to just 5 participants. This full-day workshop is held at Yodomo's new Textile Reuse Hub in Hackney Wick.

Led by Yodomo's founder Sophie Rochester, you will learn to create a simple wall hanging or curtain.

All materials and sewing machines are provided. Participants may also bring their own materials if they want to incorporate these into their works.
