About this Event
Learn to play Warhammer: An Introduction to Combat Patrol.
It doesn't matter if you are an avid painter or eying your first game, come along and learn the basic rules to Warhammer 40k. Watch or play along as you are taken through the basics, from setting up a table, to deploying armies and finishing your first game. A great way to start out, meet people and get a hang of the tabletop for first time players.
What is Combat Patrol?
Combat Patrol is a simplified version of Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition intended to introduce players into the larger game. The full game can be very daunting, so this format is far more accessible.
Each Combat Patrol force is pre determined and can be obtained from a Games Workshop Combat Patrol box. While normally there are many options a decisions that can seem confusing to beginners, these set tell you exactly what to use.

What to expect: Two Painted armies will be on display, where you will be walked through a simple introduction to play, answering your questions and giving detailed explanations.
What to bring: If you have your own Combat Patrol, 500pt or larger force, you can bring it along and can play along. If you don't have your own army you can follow along with the main battle, and potentially even participate in a small game with supplied models.
This class is taught by Fergus Wright who has been playing Warhammer 40k for two years. He's an avid Xenos player, with two armies in 10th Edition, specialising in Votann and Necrons.
