Wednesday 1st, 8th & 22nd July 2026 6pm - 8pmWe LOVE knitting socks and even more than that, we want you to love knitting them too! Join Ruth & I as we guide you through making your first pair; cuff down with a heel flap and gusset! This is a 3 part class!
Skills required: This is a beginner class. Participants should be comfortable knitting and purling. Experience with decreasing and working in the round is desirable, but not required.
Techniques covered: Methods for small circumference knitting; stretchy cast on appropriate for sock cuffs; how to turn a heel; how to pick up stitches; grafting/kitchener stitch; picking appropriate yarn for socks.
What you’ll leave with: A finished boot sock, with a sock pattern and lots of information and resources for where you can refresh the skills we’ve gone over as needed.
