About this Event
Come along to a FREE one-day community-led workshop at Saughton Park and Gardens for LGBTQ+ people (aged 16+) living or travelling to Edinburgh, to come together to connect, learn skills and build confidence around learning to grow.
We will be looking at how to grow lots of things in small spaces, which simplifies what we want to eat and we can grow. Moving away from mass agriculture, the event aims to focus on small-scale community growing. The event is being planned in collaboration with members of local LGBTQ+ community group, Queer By Nature.
The workshops will be delivered by two skilled facilitators, with a background in leading community growing spaces, who also encourage body connection and work to reduce climate anxiety.
We are thankful to ECCAN for their support in funding this event. With additional thanks to support from the The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society (The Caley)
