The Unloaf method is an easier method for making sourdough that results in a good moist sandwich bread with a tight crumb. No big open holes so if you’re wanting that, you’ll have to learn a different recipe and process. I have found the Unloaf makes our family a great loaf every time after experimenting for almost three years and having some wins and tons of “meh” loaves.Saturday Dec 13th at 10 am - we will start promptly on time because it takes an hour alone to bake the bread! In attending this paid workshop, you will get:
1️⃣ My sourdough PDF guide with step by step instructions for the whole process.
2️⃣ A jar of active starter to take home so you can begin baking as soon as you’re ready. And a shower cap.
3️⃣ A slice of fresh bread with butter and or jam in class.
4️⃣ To see dough making process, including stretch and folds. You can participate in this!
5️⃣ To see the process of feeding your starter to either use or “discard” for later use.
6️⃣ To see the scoring and baking process as well as to take out fresh bread and try a slice!
I will be preparing in dough in multiple places of the process in order to cram in as much as possible into one 2 hour workshop. Around noon or shortly thereafter, we will end by eating a slice of bread and hopefully you’ll feel much more comfortable with the sourdough making process.
Feel free to invite friends, although I will cap the number to 8 so my kitchen isn’t overwhelmed. The $25 fee can be paid via cash app, Venmo, PayPal, or cash in person. If you really want to attend and money is an issue, let me know as I don’t want anyone to be held back due to finances. 🙏
