We are thrilled to learn the Tranky Doo routine, danced by swing dancers all over the world, with Sammy! We will get to learn this famous routine and improve our footwork and solo moves. No partner is required, this is a solo jazz routine.Some experience with solo jazz or lindy hop is recommended, but all levels are welcome. This is a 3-lesson series (starting April 9 and ending April 23). We strongly recommend attending all lessons as they will build on each other.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Comfy shoes/sneakers to change into for the class. We ask that you don't wear your outdoor shoes onto the dance floor. Leave the winter snow/mud/salt in the entryway!
- A water bottle.
- An open mind to learn and express yourself through music and movement.
- Respect and kindness for other dancers.

THURSDAY SCHEDULE:
Beginner Lesson | 7:00 - 7:45 p.m.
Social Dance & Practice (all levels) | 7:45 - 8:15 p.m.
Tranky Doo Lesson | 8:15 - 9:15 p.m.

VENUE: Masonic Lodge. This is down the street from the Iowa City Public Library. There is free parking in the Chauncey parking ramp after 6 p.m.
