Ever notice how certain songs call everyone to the floor for a line dance? The Tranky Doo is one of those classic solo jazz routines! Originally choreographed by Frankie Manning after being inspired by a solo jazz move done by chorus girls of the same name. This routine was performed by various dancers and performance groups at the Savoy.
Alexandria will be breaking down and teaching the routine over two weeks Each week, you’ll learn steps, rhythms, and styling that can be danced on your own, or performed with others in social settings! This class is perfect for dancers of all levels who want to excited and eager to explore solo jazz and add some new vocabulary to their repertoire.
