HAGO is an anti-poverty organization based in Brampton Ontario, that aims to eliminate period poverty in Canada and developing countries. They have distributed hundreds of thousands of menstrual products since 2018. They serve individuals and centers across Canada, the Caribbean, and a few African countries. Period poverty is a worldwide health crisis that affects mental health, reproductive health, self-esteem, and confidence. Reusable pads not only reduce waste to landfills but also ensure that individuals have consistent access to period products for years at a time, eliminating period poverty sustainably
The Green Neighbours Circular Project promotes sustainability and waste reduction by keeping good stuff out of landfills and into the hands of people who’ll love them. Through repair, reuse, and hands-on learning opportunities, they encourage the community to bring what they don’t need, fix what they love, build new skills, and help make sustainability a little more fun.
