Learn how to Lindy hop in a day

Ready to jump into the swingin' world of Lindy hop? Join us for a fun, in-person day where you'll pick up the basics and dance your heart out. No experience needed, just bring your energy and a smile. Let's dance, laugh, and groove together. Don't miss out on this awesome chance to learn Lindy hop in just one day!

Do I need to sign up with a partner?Nope! You do not need to bring a partner. During class, we switch partners often so everyone gets a chance to dance with different people and learn together.

Can I bring a partner and only dance with them?Absolutely! You are welcome to stay with your partner the whole time. We do encourage students to try dancing with different people because it helps everyone learn faster and become more confident dancers.

What’s the difference between the Leader and Follower roles?At the beginning, the Leader starts the moves and the Follower responds to them. You can think of it like tossing and catching a ball.

As dancers improve, it becomes more like a fun game of catch where both partners work together and share ideas in the dance.

At WVC Hepcats, we believe dancing is a team effort. Both partners help create the dance together, and both roles are equally important.

Which role should I choose: Leader, Follower, or Balancer?It’s completely up to you! Both roles are fun in different ways.

• Followers respond and add style
• Balancers are happy dancing either role

Choose whichever sounds the most fun to you!

How old do I have to be?WVC Hepcats is open to all ages! If you are under 18, a parent or guardian will need to sign a permission form before you participate.

Do I need to bring water?Yes, please bring a water bottle so you can stay hydrated while dancing!
