LEARN HAIR & MAKE UP: Chairing and working on a Team of a Production Presented By The Education Committee

The goal of this workshop is to facilitate more volunteers to chair hair & makeup on a production or work on the hair/makeup team.
Have you ever wanted to design hair and makeup for a theatre production? Have you ever been interested in working on a hair and makeup team for a production? During this workshop you will learn how to set yourself and your team up for a
successful run from working with the director and their vision, working with other tech departments, setting schedules and managing time, managing inventory, purchasing supplies, budgets, procedures, why we use the products we do, and more. We’ll also discuss the challenges of working in the tent or outdoor space vs a climate controlled (mostly) indoor theatre space.
About The Instructors:
Amy DeTrempe-Williams has been chairing and working on makeup/hair teams for nearly twenty years. While not professionally trained, she did learn 95% of what she does know from Professional Makeup Artist, Kieth Wagner. The rest was learned by trial, error, experimenting and fun.
Tasha Taylor has been doing hair professionally for almost 25 years where she met the lovely Blumes. They introduced her to the theatre world with the kids show Edwin Drood and was hooked ever since. She loves transforming actors into characters with hair and makeup.
