Once you step into the Peranakan Mansion, you would have gone back in time into a Peranakan Chinese home, when these architecturally stunning shophouses were constructed in the Katong/Joo Chiat area in the year 1928.Guest will be soaked in the ambience of the beautifully decorated Peranakan Chinese museum, and get to learn and experience Singapore's uniquely Peranakan Chinese heritage and culture. The place provides fascinating insights into the development of this unique Peranakan culture and heritage that infuses Colonial, Chinese and Malay influences into their living spaces, furniture ware, fabric ware, porcelain ware, jewelry ware and more.
The visit includes a Peranakan cultural talk, including interesting stories of the artefacts around the museum, guest will also get to enjoy delicious Nyonya Kuehs (cakes) and tea, and get to wear Sarong Kebaya or Batik clothings to fully experience the Peranakan culture.
