Leander is Changing—and You Aren’t Alone!
Recent wins by Natomi A. Blair and Na'Cole Thompson have shown us that our community is more diverse and vibrant than we realized. If you’ve been looking for your fellow Democrats and wondering where everyone is hiding—we’re right here!
In honor of International Women’s Day, let’s turn that "blue wave" into a real community.
- When: March 8th 5-7pm
- Why: To meet your neighbors, share a drink, and turn "strangers" into "new friends" while learning about candidates to support and local organizations that you can plug into, helping make a difference.
- Our motto: "Join this community because you belong here, and together we will fulfill our civic duty."

Family-Friendly Amenities:
- For the Kids: Indoor play area, outdoor play structure, foosball, and arcade games.
- For the Teens: A full food menu plus fun non-alcoholic drinks (lattes, sodas, and flavored milk steamers).
- For the Parents: Changing tables in both bathrooms and a dedicated Mother’s Room for nursing moms.
- Note: Per Slackers policy, alcohol is strictly 21+ only.

- For the Pups: Soft, meat or jerky-style dog treats, Nose Work puzzles, “Tough” rubber dog toys (such as a Kong, West Paw, BarkBox), Nylabone chew toys, bully sticks (no rawhide), Gift cards to Amazon, Tomlinson’s PetsMart or Petco, NO stuffed animals or stuffed toys, please!
- For the Kitties: Comfort Zone/Feliway Multi-cat Diffuser Refills, Cat roller ball and other interactive toys, Cardboard cat scratching boards/boxes, Cat mats and soft beds, Clay, non-clumping, unscented cat litter (like Sanisorb), Gift cards to Amazon, Tomlinson’s, PetsMart or Petco, Clay (non-clumping) cat litter and canned cat/kitten food.
- For the Shelter: Copier Paper (8.5 X 11” white), Postage Stamps, 2-pocket folders, 100’ Heavy-Duty Water Hoses, Water Hose Nozzles/Sprayers
