Leaf Winter Behind: Spring Tree ID
with Lauren Lampley
Friday, April 18 | 10 am - 1 pm
BRN - Core | BREG - Elective
Join this class as we discuss how to use different characteristcs and field guides to identify common trees of Western North Carolina. Spring this year will likely be a bit different than years past for the NC Arboretum and we will venture around the property to see what trees are leafing out and enjoying the renewal of spring!
This program takes place fully outdoors. Please come prepared to walk on groomed trails and paths, and dress appropriately for the weather.
Lauren Lampley began her career at Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation as a Park Naturalist which solidified Lauren’s interests in ecology and a passion for teaching others. She has led walks and hikes in a variety of subjects from Geology to Birding and especially enjoys learning and teaching about our local ecology. She currently works at the NC Arboretum in the Adult Education Department and manages the Blue Ridge Naturalist Certificate of Merit.
