About this Event
Bylaws are a nonprofit board’s operating manual. They contain rules that govern both the board’s structure and how it functions. These rules can support a positive and effective board culture, or they can cause confusion and undermine your best efforts.
In Building Better Bylaws, we will demystify this important document. Participants will learn about the important relationship between state law, Articles of Incorporation, and bylaws; discuss the most recent leading practices; and explore specific examples to assist in developing relevant and understandable governing rules.
This workshop is ideal for board officers, members of Governance committees, and directors of organizations that have not updated their bylaws in the past three years.
