The Leadership Unlimited Class of 2026 and alumni are invited to spend the day exploring Ohio’s legislative process firsthand during a guided visit to the Ohio Statehouse. The experience begins with departure from the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development before traveling together to Columbus on a charter bus.Upon arrival, participants enjoy lunch with State Representative Marilyn John (District 76) and State Senator Romanchuk (District 22). This dialogue offers participants a unique opportunity to hear directly from local legislators about current issues, public service, and the realities of state government.
The afternoon schedule includes time to observe both the Ohio Senate and House sessions in progress, giving participants a real-time look at how laws are debated and enacted. From there, the group takes a guided tour of the historic Statehouse, exploring its architecture, artwork, and the stories that have shaped Ohio’s political landscape.
The visit concludes with time to browse the Statehouse Gift Shop before the group returns to. This immersive day is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of state government, strengthen civic awareness, and inspire community leadership.
Charter bus transportation and lunch is included in the tour registration fee.
