Class Description:

This program examines today's leadership challenges and will provide students with practical techniques for addressing them effectively. Issues such as diversity, decision making, personnel issues, high stress and high-risk environment decision making, training, and development will all be discussed.

Emphasis is placed on adaptive skills, training, job knowledge, and communication. Leadership in today's ever changing social, political, and operational objectives is unlike anything the Fire Service as ever seen. Both current and future leaders will examine these issues with a variety of real-life case studies and discussion, while utilizing leadership strategies that simply work.
