About this Event
The LEAD Forum is a one-day convening designed to help those, especially entrepreneurs, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, who were impacted by the Federal Government's recent changes.
In partnership with Montgomery County Government, Leadership Montgomery convenes this cross-sector audience to strengthen understanding, readiness, and capability across the local business and nonprofit ecosystem.
This year, LEAD Forum is designed for individuals who work with government, or are preparing to do so, and want a clearer understanding of how changes in funding, procurement, and policy affect roles, responsibilities, and opportunities. The conference is particularly relevant for individuals who want practical, applied insight into how government engagement is changing and what skills, systems, and strategies organizations need to be effective and sustainable. Participants should expect content that supports both current responsibilities and future leadership pathways.
Conference Goals:
- Clarify federal, state, and county policy, procurement, and funding changes and what they mean in practice.
- Equip leaders to make different strategic choices: Support them in reassessing assumptions about revenue, growth, and sustainability so they can identify which organizational strategies, structures, or business models will be viable.
- Strengthen organizational readiness: Build awareness of the capabilities, systems, and partnerships organizations need to pursue contracts, grants, and public-sector opportunities more effectively.
- Drive Action: Help participants determine concrete actions and resources needed to strengthen procurement readiness, funding strategy, and organizational capacity following the Forum.
This conference will have three tracks:
- Track A: Procurement and Compliance
- Track B: Funding and Revenue Models
- Track C: Strategic Adaptation
