Welcome to LBHFF 2026 - the film festival commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Little Bighorn - hosted with Art House Billings at Art House Cinema & Pub.
This three day event centers The Allied Tribes - the Cheyenne, Lakota & Arapaho - who victoriously defended their lives, homelands and ways of life at the battle. While we honor those who endured so much and gave their lives for freedom, this festival showcases Native films & stories, some with Montana artists & connections.
There will be a number of documentaries, shorts and narrative feature films, including some special presentations at the three day event. This event will coincide with battlefield specific events over the weekend.
By centering these stories we hope to boost Native pride, fostering accurate cultural and historical education about this critical event in our shared history & the Allied Tribes’ on-going survival and endeavors to persevere.
Our event is designed to be accessible and welcoming to everyone.
