We are inviting the public to our annual Lazy Sunday Donkey hike in April. Bring your donkey(s) or just yourselves for a short hike of about 2.5 miles off Gold Mine Rd. in Cerrillos. Meet other donkey enthusiasts and learn about the work of The Longears Safehouse, New Mexico's only dedicated donkey and mule rescue! And meet Chloe and Abigail, two bonded jennets who are currently up for adoption!We will meet at Joyce Davis' home around 10:45 and start our hike from there. Please note: We will engage in a leisurely walk, NOT a race. If you have a donkey who could use some more practice hiking in a group with other donkeys, this would be a great opportunity. Tea and cookies will be offered after the hike. There will be a liability waiver form to sign (we're working on an electronic version).
