About this Event
Join us for the opening night of Worlds Apart, a solo exhibition by Austrian documentary photographer Laurin Strele, presented at Artdepot Innsbruck.
Worlds Apart brings together a selection of photographs from long-term documentary projects created over recent years in conflict-affected and socially complex regions around the world. The exhibition reflects on the realities of life shaped by war, displacement, resilience, and the quiet moments of humanity that persist within these environments.
During the opening evening, visitors will have the opportunity to engage directly with the work and learn more about the stories behind the images.
The event will include:
• Artist Talk by Laurin Strele
• Guided walkthrough of the exhibition
• Book signing of the photo book Worlds Apart
• Informal conversations throughout the evening about documentary photography, storytelling, and the contexts in which the photographs were created.
The exhibition features work from projects developed in regions including Ukraine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, India and beyond, offering insight into the lives of people living within complex political and social realities.
Visitors attending the opening will also have the opportunity to purchase Laurin Strele’s photo book Worlds Apart.
