For those who’ve been around Laurel Heights UMC a while, you might remember the good old block parties — right after church, with hot dogs, games, and the famous cake walk! Well, guess what? We’re bringing it back!🗓 Sunday, November 9
🕐 12:30–3:30 PM
(Woodlawn Parking Lot)
We need you there - to both hang out and have a good time and to help greet our friends and neighbors who will be coming to party with us.
Here’s what’s in store:
🚒 Our local Fire Department will be there with a truck to explore.
🚓 The Police Department will share about safety in our neighborhood.
🌭 Hot dogs (regular and vegan), plus popcorn, cotton candy, drinks, and paletas!
🎯 Games for the kids
🍰 And of course... the ever-popular Cake Walk!
The Church Mice are in charge of the hot dogs; the United Women in Faith in charge of the Cake Walk; the Youth are in charge of the games. If you’re not already part of these groups but would like to help, contact Angie, Heather, or Laura at the church — or talk with Monica Drapen, Jo Mascorro, Rayen Dennis, Sue Hall, Jeanette Morton, Irene Ojeda, Ken & Ann Adams, or Marisa Parker. We’ll find a place for you to serve!
