Southern-soul vocalist Laura Ingram returns to the stage with an axe to grind and song to release, launching her salty-soulful new single ‘Not Another Fool’ at The Bergy Bandroom. Known for her powerhouse vocals and genre-bending southern soul-rock and jazz-country fusion, Ingram brings an energetic, intimate, and vibey live show that’s equal parts heart and celebration.
Backed by her brand-new heavyweight band — Mitch Power (bass), Stella Anning (guitar), Alex Gooding (drums), and Dan Tusjak (keys) — Ingram brings soaring vocals, thick in-the pocket grooves and anthemic, lashing-lead-guitar rock energy to Brunswick for one night only.
After supporting icons like Clare Bowditch and Caiti Baker, appearing with Women of Soul alongside Thndo, Allysha Joy and Kylie Auldist, selling out shows celebrating Dolly Parton and being featured on Beat Mag, The Music, Triple J, Double J, RRR and PBS — Laura Ingram is stepping boldly into a new chapter.
Ingram is supported by two very special local guest acts. Soul-boogie band ‘aftercare’ bring vibrant grooves, good-humoured storytelling, self-aware soul and a whole lot of love. Pia Nesvara blends her Chilean heritage with silky-soulful vocals, hard-hitting rhythms and bold lyrics to create a distinctive moody soul- meets-singer-songwriter solo set.
