Laura Hugo has long captivated audiences with music that weaves haunting vulnerability with unflinching honesty.“Radio” is a poignant reflection on her upbringing on and around the Navajo Nation, a landscape that shaped her resilience, humanity and creativity. It tells the story of finding connection and solace in music and with family amid the chaos of life. It captures the universal longing to escape, dream, and one day hear your own song playing through the static.
Special guest Corey Medina & Brothers (CMB) is a Native-led blues-rock band, based in the heart of Anishinaabe territory in Bemidji, Minnesota. Formed in 2015 by fellow Dine’ (Navajo) singer-songwriter and guitarist Corey Medina, the band has evolved into a powerful four-piece group known for their raw emotion, soulful grit, and immersive live performances. The foundation of the band was built on brotherhood, trust, and a shared belief that music should be meaningful and shared. CMB wants people to feel their music in their hearts and feet, inviting them to sing along, sway, and dance together. CMB’s mission is to uplift and empower people through the music they create.
