About this Event
Join us in celebrating the release of historian G.R. Hastings's second novel, this time set in 1968 Wilmington. This free event will be held upstairs at the Prose Parlor during downtown's monthly Art Loop.
It’s 1968, and the National Guard patrols the streets of Wilmington, Delaware. Oblivious to the unease that corrupts every corner, Susan stops in for the night before heading to college. After learning of a missing ghost child, she and future journalist, Amya, must discover their fate while navigating the city’s dark past and uneasy present. For, in the shadows, he waits.
Guarded Streets, An Undersider Tale is a historical fiction novel that takes a snapshot of a pivotal moment in Wilmington's history. And if you've ever set foot in the basement of the Huxley & Hiro Building at 419 North Market Street, you might just recognize this haunting graffiti...
Reading by the author at 5.30pm, followed by a signing.
