Nina Silverman-Weeks’ art is whimsical, often surreal “photollages,” each one hand-assembled from photographs she’s taken. With minimal digital manipulations, these layered, low relief works combine flora, fauna, and sometimes human elements in playful, imaginative ways, often addressing environmental anomalies. Come enjoy her unique works of art in our winter gallery.
The Wilmington Art Loop is a vibrant arts and culture mainstay. Since its inception in 1988, the Art Loop has been essential to downtown expansion and Wilmington’s creative community. During the first Friday of each month, the free, self-guided public event brings together art lovers and the community to the ever-evolving downtown and greater Wilmington areas. Art galleries, studios, museums and alternative art spaces offer an opportunity to meet featured artists while enjoying refreshments and periodic entertainment. Weather permitting, this Art Loop will include a firepit in DCH’s courtyard to ward off the winter chill. Hot beverages available for sale, as well as beer and wine.
