You are invited to come along to the Launch Night of Aughrim & District Historical Society, Wednesday 27th of November at 7.30pm in O’ Tooles Bar, Aughrim. Members & non-members welcome.
On the night we will be playing a recording of an interview from 2022 with the late John (Sean) Kenny (RIP), it will play to a slide show of photographs which belonged to John. (Courtesy of his cousin Colm)
Sean was born in 1930 & lived all his life in Kilacloran, he was a wealth of knowledge on Aughrim & was always happy to share his memories & stories.
Anyone wishing to join can do so on the night, membership is €10.
We are also requesting that anyone who has any information, stories of interest, photographs, artefacts that we could photograph to document etc.. etc… or anything relating to Aughrims history & past we would be delighted to hear from you.
We wish to collect & document as much as we can related to Aughrims history.
It’s people, places, buildings, events etc…
