About this Event
About the Presenters:
We are honored to welcome the UFW Foundation, whose mission is to empower communities to ensure human dignity.
Born out of the dreams of Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, the UFW Foundation is an anchor organization of the farm worker movement. Since 2006, they have advocated for labor rights and protections for farm workers across the United States while providing educational outreach and critical services, including immigration legal aid.
Rooted in equity and building collective power, the UFW Foundation works toward systemic change while offering supportive services in California, Michigan, Georgia, and Washington. They engage and advocate for all farm workers, with special attention to women, Indigenous-only speakers, and those from non-traditional backgrounds.
Join us as they share about the current realities facing farm workers here in Michigan and invite us into conversation about advancing dignity, equity, and justice together.
