Dive with us into the diverse realm of Latin American Gothic Horror in this free interactive 5-weeks guided reading group, taking place every Wednesday in October from 5.45-6.45pm.In this highly participative reading group we will be exploring the roots of Latin American horror fiction at the beginning of the 20th Century all the way through to the present so-called “New” Latin American Boom, composed primarily of women writing horror.
From the bizarre stories of Horacio Quiroga and Julio Cortazar to the fierce prose of Mariana Enriquez and Fernanda Melchor: magic, violence, strangeness, blood, and the uncanny take over the pages in these brutal fictions.
Join us to discuss every Wednesday in October from 5.45-6.45pm. All welcome!
Free but spaces are limited so booking is essential. Your booking will give you access to all five sessions and to the full reading list.
