Lathe 102 part 2 of 3 of the Cannon class, machining the cannon.

Using the skills and lessons from Lathe 101 we will be machining the cannon on the Hardinge Lathe, then onto the Southbend lathe to finish.
About this Event

This 2nd class is eight hours long you each machine one end of the cannon, watching the others as they perfome the task then you take your turn. Advanges of observation and setups will make it a better learning experience.

Cut the stock to size, planning the operation and holding toleraces.
Machine the singe end first tooling, and machine setup review.
Each one will perfom the same machining process to learn how the machine repeats to better understand the machining best practices.
This is the 102 class, turn both ends, drill the bore and then machine the bore taper on the Southbend lathe using the compound. to complete stage one of the cannon.

Class includes all materials, will suppy safety glasses, tools and a good expereince running these older American Iron machines. Amazing tools.
