SFX Workshop: LATEX MASK MAKING COURSEDedicated to a monster of your choice. In this 11-day class, you will create a full-bust silicone pull-over appliance.
Led by Irish makeup FX artist Ali Gordon (Puppet Master, Castle Freak, Hellraiser, Glow Up Ireland [Judge]) and guest artist Wayne Anderson
This class is perfect for both beginners and those with experience. We will lead you through the design process to sculpting and molding. Then cast your appliance in silicone, and finally – application.
Low-key and light-hearted, these workshops are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you to create movie-quality characters.
The breakdown for the week is as follows :
*DAY 1: INTRO TO DESIGN AND CONCEPT
*DAY 2: INTRO TO SCULPTING TECHNIQUES
*DAYS 3 & 5: SCULPTING.
*DAY 6 & 7: INTRO TO TWO-PART MOLD MAKING, MOLD MAKING
*DAY 8: LATEX CASTING & SEAMING,
*Day 9 & 10: PAINTING /DETAILING TECHNIQUES
*DAY 11: CHARACTER ADDITIONS / HAIR
Course date: March 3rd - 14th (9th off) 2025
Hours: 11.00 am to 6.00pm (1-hour lunch break)

Please note all deposits are non refundable due to payments on orders and other cost in preparation for the workshop.
We will supply all materials and airbrushes for the duration of the workshop but you will need to bring some wooden sculpting tools, art brushes, baby wipes, alcohol paint palette and towels. We recommend you wear old clothes as is a messy process
