Join us on the farm for a morning of birding at the peak of late summer! Wildlife biologist and professional bird guide Clifton Avery of Ventures Birding Tours will lead us through the farm and surrounding forest to spot a wide range of resident and migrating species. The end of August marks the beginning of fall migration—millions of songbirds are making their way south. We’ll keep an eye out for cedar waxwings, Mississippi kites, scarlet tanagers, and an array of warblers, as well as year-round favorites like bluebirds, hawks, woodpeckers, and maybe even our resident bald eagle.
You’ll also hear from Farm Director Virginia about our Holistic Land Management practices and how planned grazing supports local bird populations.
