Heavyweight 1 day challenge event!
Hi @everyone. We are planning to hold a 1 day challenge event similar (but not exactly the same) to the ”Last man standing” from Ultimate pool. Please comment below if interested.
How it works:
- 16 players
- 4 x assassins (top 4 players) with bounty on their head
- First match is random draw
- loser is out of comp
- Winner can choose next opponent by calling out a player from remaining players OR they can opt for random draw.
- If a player wins the second match then for their 3rd match they have to choose from one of the assassins and their is no option for random draw.
- If a player wins 3 in a row then that player will be granted immunity from being called out or drawn for future matches until another player wins three in a row at which point the first player will loose immunity and the incoming winner is granted immunity.
- immunity of any player finishes once we get to last 4 players at which point no one is immune from being called out or drawn to play
- Match clock, 30second shot clock, one 15 second extension per frame, 15 seconds shot clock once match clock gets to last 5mins and 6 red to decide tie breaker.
- If a player beats an assassin they can win the bounty on their head ($to be confirmed) or become an assassin them selves which will be decided after that match and will be a 50/50draw.
- pay out top4
- players be prepared to be at venue a approx11am-6pm. As it is random draws and call outs you “technically” could get to final without playing a match although not likely but once you get to top 4 you are in money anyway.
Entry and prize money still to be confirmed but looking at $50 entry and possible total prize money of $1400 with a couple of sponsors chipping in. The idea is for this to be a fun event with random draws and also potential calling out of other players. Obviously only one match at a time so people will be practicing on other tables, watching the match and/or timing.
