About the IOI Las Vegas Vocal Competition
Details:
- No Age Limit
- Application Fee: $35 (non-refundable)
- Application Deadline: March 25, 2025
Repertoire Requirement:
Contestants must submit:
- 2 Classical/Opera Arias,
- 2 Musical Theater selections,
- or one of each.
Awards:
All finalists will have the opportunity to perform in an IOI Opera or Musical Theater production in Las Vegas.
First Place Winners:
- Opportunity to perform at the South Point Hotel & Casino on the Dennis Bono Show, a globally live-streamed production.
Cash Prizes:
- First Prize: $500 (each category: Classical/Opera & Musical Theater)
- Second Prize: $300
- Third Prize: $200
Meet the Judges:
- Rose Kingsley
International Dramatic Soprano and crossover artist recording at Capitol Records. Former adjunct professor at Chapman University, California State University Monterey Bay, and Auburn University. As Artistic Director of the International Opera Institute, she is the only voice teacher/singer to conduct a master class at The Metropolitan Opera. - Allan Glassman
Veteran Verdian Tenor with over 35 years at The Metropolitan Opera. Allan has performed in over 30 operas across the U.S. and Europe, including the role of Herod in Salome to critical acclaim. He is also a faculty member at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. - Lou Gazzara
A finalist on American Idol, Las Vegas headliner, and three-time Broadway World nominee. Known for his five-octave vocal range, Lou delivers unforgettable performances that span genres. Tour Guide Magazine calls him a singer with "fever funk grit, class, soul, and sizzle." - Maestro Gregory Buchalter
Conductor with The Metropolitan Opera for 25 years, currently conducting with Florida Grand Opera, Palm Beach Opera, and South Florida Symphony, among others. He serves as music director at Varna International and Teatro Lirica D’Europe.
