Jefa Brunch is a BIPOC and LGBTQ+ event, aimed at inspiring all Jefas to identify and step into their power.
About this Event

Join us for a chance to learn from BIPOC Powerhouses and connect with other empowered Jefas. This intimate conversation space is open to all and centers around BIPOC leaders and bosses as they share their stories of building successful businesses and becoming bosses of their own creative entrepreneurial lives. The Jefa Brunch is in partnership with Frida Friday ATX first-Sunday markets held at Lustre Pearl South.

Brunch and a specialty cocktail are included with your JEFA BRUNCH ticket purchase! This event is a mixed indoor/outdoor event with the opportunity to shop at the Frida Friday ATX market following the panel and brunch. Come by the market and enjoy live music while supporting some of Austin's best makers and creatives!

Briona Jenkins
Community organizer, activist and host of the podcast “The Tea with Bri”

Briona Jenkins is a public speaker, and activist for the LGBTQIA+, female, and people of color communities, and has years of experience using her platform to evoke change. Since October 2019, she has hosted a podcast called The Tea with Bri where she sits and chats with a different guest every week about whatever topic the guest chooses. Briona started The Tea with Bri so that she could have a deep-dive conversation with other change-makers in Austin, TX. She is a strong believer in sharing stories and having conversations as a way for all of us to expand our views. As she always says, “Change happens in the uncomfortable spaces.”

Diana Anzaldua
Mental Health Professional and Founder of Contigo Wellness

Diana Anzaldua is a Texas native, Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Somatic and Trauma-Resilient Therapist in Austin, Texas! Diana, The Founder of Contigo Wellness, is a social change activist and influential leader in mental health equity and reform. Her vision and leadership create a safe space for other survivors to grow, embrace their resilience, and heal; all-in-community with others. Diana and her clinical expertise has been featured in a number of magazines like: Allure, Bustle, Hello Giggles, Vice, Vox, PBS, The BBC, Yahoo, and The Atlantic Journal. Diana serves on the 2021-2024 Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities in Austin, and has received numerous awards for her work in community healing, public service and leadership. Diana is professionally Licensed in the States of Texas, North Carolina, and Nevada and has worked in numerous healing spaces with trauma survivors. Diana is also a member of the 2021 Leadership Austin cohort.
