Larkin Mortuary will hold its annual Memorial Day program on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, located at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road in Sandy.
This year’s program will feature remarks from FOX13 “Good Day Utah” co-anchor Dan Evans. The Hill Air Force Base Honor Guard will conduct a formal flag ceremony. Musical performances will include Brian Stucki, the Minuteman Bass Quintet, Alta High Madrigals, and the Utah Firefighters Emerald Society, offering a tribute through patriotic selections.
Now in its 27th year, Larkin Mortuary’s Memorial Day service provides an opportunity for families and community members to honor loved ones and remember military veterans who have passed. The program will include a ceremonial tribute to each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, accompanied by bagpipes and drum. Light refreshments will be available following the service.
Dan Evans serves as co-anchor of “Good Day Utah” on FOX 13 News. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, he began his broadcasting career in Yakima, Washington, and has since worked in Palm Springs and Jacksonville, Florida, before returning to Salt Lake City. He and his wife are parents of four children.
