Saturday June 6th 9am-5pmLearn to weave a large willow tray or traditional Irish skib using some of the finest British grown willow.
This workshop is appropriate for intermediate weavers and improvers, or very confident and capable beginners. Willow weaving requires good hand strength and dexterity.
In this workshop we will focus on some of the key techniques required to weave the perfect base, incorporating a number of weaving patterns and your choice of 6 different varieties willow with a beautiful array of colours.
Once the base is complete, we will use a three rod wale to create our upset before finishing the project with a follow on border.
All tools and Materials will be provided.
