About this Event
Large Bi-Colored Jewel Beetle Pinning Workshop
Learn how to position, pin, and preserve a stunning Large Bi-Colored Jewel Beetle - one of the most impressive jeweled beetles in the world! These male jewel beetles from Thailand measure an eye-catching 55–65 mm, making them among the largest of their kind. With a glossy brown back accented by bright yellow side spots and dramatic wingspan when spread, this specimen is truly spectacular.
In this hands-on workshop, our expert instructors will guide you step by step through the pinning process, sharing professional techniques used to create museum-quality specimens. You’ll learn skills that can be applied to many insects in the future, and all questions are welcome along the way. All materials are included.
You’ll leave with your artfully pinned jewel beetle to take home and display.
