Walk a lantern-lit trail through a portion of the Ludington State Park, including a stop at a bonfire at the amphitheater, where hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting are available. The approximately 1-mile lighted trail begins at the Warming Shelter near the park entrance. There is no charge to participate, and if there is enough snow, snowshoes will be available. At 8 p.m., we will extinguish the lanterns. And, yes, your dog is welcome if leashed. We will announce the cancellation of any of these events two hours before the scheduled start time through the “Friends of Ludington State Park” Facebook page and website. We may need to cancel due to poor weather conditions and/or safety concerns.
