About this Event
Held annually during Macon’s Cherry Blossom Festival, the Lantern Light Tours at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park are a family-favorite tradition! Grab a lantern and walk the luminary-lined paths through the ancestral homeland of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Learn about Ocmulgee’s rich 12,000-year history through engaging interpretive talks. End your journey with breathtaking views of Downtown Macon illuminated at night, seen from the top of the Great Temple Mound.
• Tours start at 7:30 PM and run every 10 minutes, with the last tour at 9:00 PM.
• Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour.
• Gates open at 7:00 PM
• Please arrive 10 minutes before your tour time to check in.
