Lantern Festival at Fengshan Light Festival 鳳山光之季
Lighting shows are a big part of the Lantern Festival (元宵節) holiday in Taiwan. Come join our volunteers to visit Fengshan Light Festival (鳳山光之季) and walk the illuminated route from Dadong Park (大東公園) along Caogong Canal (曹公圳).
Date: February 28, 2026 (Saturday)
Time: 18:30 and onward
Meeting point: Dadong MRT Station
Volunteers: Junwei, Penguin, Shelly, Alice ✨
We’ll walk together along the light installations and enjoy the atmosphere. Feel free to ask our volunteers cultural questions: What is the Lantern Festival holiday? Why do people celebrate it? What traditions are carried on this day?
According to the official website, there may also be a shadow puppetry (皮影戲) performance at 19:00 in the park. This is a traditional storytelling art. If timing works out, we can stay and watch together.
Our volunteer-led outings are very casual - after the walk, feel free to explore more of Fengshan, grab dinner with new friends at Zhonghua Street Night Market (中華街觀光夜市), or head home whenever you like. Slow evening pace, friendly vibes.
