About this Event
In this new educational series, we are combining classroom instruction, demonstration and applied experience to teach how to properly design, install, and maintain landscapes.
For our March Landscape and Learn, we are focusing on how to protect your garden and landscape in cold weather and then how to get it in good shape for Spring when it warms up. Starting at 9:00am, we will have a short classroom activity focusing on this cold weather gardening practices. Then, participants will be grouped together with one of our staff or a Master Gardener Volunteer to put their learning into play to help maintain the grounds at our office. All participants will be required to fill out a volunteer form for the University of Florida. This class is open to adults (18+) only.
This event will be outside so please dress appropriately for weather and the work we will be doing including closed-toe shoes. Please bring your own safety equipment (gloves, safety glasses if needed). You may bring your own hand pruners to use but please do not bring any power tools. Water, coffee, and snacks will be provided.
