About this Event
Directed by the late Alan Greenberg, who was a friend of reggae star Bob Marley, began the film as a record of Marley's funeral, but became something more—a deep searching meditation on Jamaican music and culture. A non-traditional documentary without voice-over, or distinct p.o.v., akin to I Am Cuba, touted by director Jim Jarmusch as “An organic portrait of the very soul of Jamaica, and the earthy substrata of Rastafarianism.” (Anthology Film, Vol 48, No.2)
