About this Event
Hosted by Be the Change Group in partnership with 1% for the Planet, this event brings together leading organizations working across BC’s land, freshwater, and ocean ecosystems for a moderated panel discussion, followed by networking with values-aligned businesses and community leaders.
About the event
British Columbia is home to globally significant ecosystems under increasing pressure, from habitat loss and climate change to declining salmon populations and ocean degradation.
This panel will be hosted by Amanda Steski, Senior Manager of Sustainability & Environment at CBC. It will include three people from organizations working at different but deeply connected points in the system:
- Scott Bohachyk, Director of Seaforestation at Ocean Wise: driving innovation in ocean health and climate resilience
- Allison Colina, VP of Development, Marketing, and Communications at Pacific Salmon Foundation: advancing science-based, community-led salmon recovery
- Nature Trust of British Columbia: Spokesperson TBA
The conversation will move from land to watershed, to ocean, highlighting what’s working, where collaboration matters most, and how corporate giving and partnerships can drive measurable impact in BC.
