Decolonizing Land-Based Pedadogy at Maplewood Flats
1-5pm, Saturday, Sept 28, 2024
This half day collection of learning circles supports community learning and design of Maplewood Flats' place-based & land-based education pedagogy. Maplewood Flats is a platform for decolonizing work as we lift up Tsleil-Waututh knowledge and placebased redress. Through training and learning we aim to support settler accomplices and local First Nations work together for landback projects such as Maplewood Flats.

- Heléna Mauti, Sessional Faculty, Indigenous Environmental Studies and Sciences, Trent University.
- Zarah Martz, siʔáḿθɘt Vice Principal, Tsleil-Waututh Nation,
- Tsleil-Waututh cultural protocol, and more speakers TBC.
Walks, talks and dialogue. Coast Salish teas and desserts. Some segments available via Zoom.
