Le Réseau des lesbiennes du Québec est très heureux de vous présenter son nouveau recueil de textes à propos des réalités lesbo-queers racisées et migratoires. Venez assister au lancement officiel le jeudi 20 mars 2025 à partir de 17h30 à la librairie l'Euguélionne ! Chœurs croisés : réalités lesbo-queers racisées et migratoires est un recueil inédit produit par et pour les communautés de femmes et de personnes lesbo-queers immigrantes et/ou racisées vivant au Québec. « Ici, chaque récit est une manifestation d’une intersection spécifique d’identités. Racisé. es, immigrante.s et queers, les narrateur.ices sont les héritier. es de luttes anticoloniales, antiracistes et systémiques tout en vivant à la marge des normes hétérosexuelles et cisnormatives imposées » (Lani, Lamiae et kimura).
À travers les onze récits proposés, nous explorons plusieurs thématiques en lien avec l'intersection identitaire des auteur.rice.s : « La longueur des cheveux ou au processus d'attendre d’immigrer ailleurs, à l'idée de porter des œillères de protection ou d'éprouver des papillons envers une femme pour la première fois…» (Lani, Lamiae et kimura).

- Lecture d'extraits par les participant.e.s.
The Quebec Lesbian Network is very excited to present its new collection of texts about the realities of racialized and migrant lesbo-queer experiences. Join us for the official launch on Thursday, March 20, 2025, starting at 5:30 PM at the bookstore l'Euguélionne!
Intersecting choruses: racialized and migratory lesbo-queer realities is a collection produced by and for the communities of immigrant and/or racialized women and lesbo-queer individuals living in Quebec. "Here, each story is a manifestation of an intersection of specific identities. Racialized, immigrant and queer, their narrators are the heirs to anticolonial, antiracist and systemic struggles while living on the margins of imposed cisheterosexual norms." (Lani, Lamiae et kimura).
Through the eleven stories included, we explore various themes related to the authors' intersecting identities: "From changing one's hair length to waiting to immigrate, from putting on protective blinders to feeling butterflies for a woman for the first time…" (Lani, Lamiae et kimura).
The program includes:
- A conversation with the selection committee behind the development of the collection.
- Readings of excerpts by the participants.
