About this Event
4-H Backyard Engineering Camp
Think it. Build it. Make it work!
Get ready for a hands-on engineering adventure where creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving take center stage! During the 4-H Backyard Engineering Camp, youth will work together to complete exciting engineering challenges using everyday materials, limited budgets, and their own imagination.
Participants will design, build, test, and improve projects such as tabletop catapults, cargo delivery systems, shelter structures, and other practical engineering creations inspired by real-world farm, home, and backyard challenges. Youth will explore concepts like force, motion, logistics, structural design, and resource management while learning valuable Beyond Ready life skills including teamwork, communication, adaptability, budgeting, and critical thinking.
This camp is designed to encourage creativity, experimentation, and hands-on learning in a fun, supportive environment where there is often more than one “right” solution.
