Lambda Xi Golden Legacy Gala

The illustrious chapter of Lambda Xi was founded on May 24th, 1974, by a group of 12 visionary collegiate women, and stands as the pioneering Black Greek-letter sorority on the esteemed campus of the University of California, Davis. Over the years, Lambda Xi has blossomed into a beacon of scholarship, sisterhood, and service, leaving an indelible mark on the university and the surrounding community. From its inception, Lambda Xi has remained dedicated to the fundamental principles of Scholarship, Sisterhood, Social Action, and Public Service. With unwavering commitment, the chapter has nurtured academic excellence, empowered women, and confronted critical social issues.

Lambda Xi's impact radiates through numerous prestigious honors, including the distinguished Ruth B. Anderson Award, consecutive Stompfest victories from 2005 to 2007 and 2009, the Human Corps Community Service award from 2003 to 2009, and the coveted Excellence in Collaboration Award in 2019. An integral part of Lambda Xi's legacy lies in its annual programs that have enriched both the campus and the community. These programs, such as Voter Education & Registration, Delta Mentorship, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk, Multi-Cultural Extravaganza, Black Faculty & Staff Luncheon during Black Family Week, Girl Talk, May Week, and the Women of Colors Series, stand as testaments to our enduring commitment to education, cultural diversity, empowerment, and community engagement.
