About this Event
LAMAS 56th Local History ConferenceThe Museum of London: A Celebration
As the Museum of London prepares to close the doors of its London Wall premises for the last time, and move to its new home in West Smithfield, we are taking the opportunity to look back on the history of the Museum and its collections since it opened in 1976.
With talks, presentations, and discussions involving Museum staff, past and present, and historians, this one-day conference will explore and debate the history and legacy of the Museum and its continuing role as a showcase for the history of the capital.
Don’t miss this last chance to attend a conference at the Museum of London before it closes!
Local history displays and stalls by societies will be on show in the Clore Learning Centre throughout the day.
Afternoon refreshments are included in the ticket price and will be provided in the Clore Learning Centre.
